Choosing Your Boma

There are two steering options to choose from; the Handlebar or the Joystick.

The Handlebar Boma 7.5 is great for people with postural balance and good arm control, whilst the Joystick Boma 7.5 is ideal for those requiring postural support and have limited hand/arm control.

The handlebar option offers easy, intuitive steering, and is best for people with light to moderate mobility issues.  If you only have limited use of your arms, this one’s a non-starter.

The joystick-controlled variant is much closer to a traditional electric wheelchair, so if you’ve used one before, then you’ll find yourself taking to this method of steering and control and mastering it in no time.

On all models selecting between on/off, forward/reverse and adjusting speed settings between Walk (4mph) and Jog (8mph) modes is controlled via the Switch Box which is individually positioned to maximise your use.

Available in a range of colours the universal frame with integral safety cage comes with a fully adjustable leg support system, individually adjustable arm rests, lateral supports and seating as standard, and the fully independent suspension system is optimised in the factor based on your details prior to delivery.
